Youth Group

~ To inspire, train, engage and empower youth in Krishna Consciousness to their fullest potential.

~ Making spirituality fun and for helping youth to develop a deeper understandings about life and the Krishna culture, enriching opportunities, and to serve the temple.

~ Our aim is to reveal to youth the essence of the teachings of Krishna consciousness. We highlight the relevance of this wisdom to our lives in the West and show how it is just as true and relevant today as it was thousands of years ago when it was first written. Today our interaction with the youth is in the language of the modern times, but our traditions are not compromised.

~ We sing, we dance, we play (drama and games), we do other activities such as open-discussions about the Vedic philosophy  & most importantly, we learn. From the ancient scriptures of Bhagavad-Gita As-It-Is to The Journey of Self-Discovery. This is an opportunity as the knowledge of the scriptures is liberating, they find peace and happiness when they chant the Hare Krishna Mahamantra:

~ It is also FREE of cost

Narrated Bhargava (a disciple of Srila Prabhupada):
Nitai asked Srila Prabhupada about preaching. Srila Prabhupada explained that you find a little spark of interest that somebody has in Krsna, and you fan that spark. You help that spark grow. It is personalism. Srila Prabhupada was teaching personalism. He was teaching us to deal with each person as an individual. We should know and respect where´╗┐ they are starting from and try to bring them to a deeper level.

Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu predicted that His sankirtana movement would spread to every town and village and that the whole world would be flooded with love of Godhead. Everywhere Krsna consciousness would make people happy, delivering them from the repetition of birth and death; from the sufferings of old age and disease. We received this vision from His Divine Grace Srila Abhaya Caranaravinda Bhakivedanta Swami Prabhupada. We saw that every effort of Srila Prabhupada was meant to put out the fire of materialism, which is burning up the conditioned souls. Passion and ignorance make people suffer more than ever before, especially in the modern cities of the Western world. Srila Prabhupada commented on this upon first arriving in America, upon landing in Boston, in 1965. His remarks show the great compassion that inspired Srila Prabhupada to preach in the difficult environment of the Western world.

Chant and Be Happy!
